Too bad the labeling has been corrupted. Not awful… but you can taste the chemicals in some “organic” labeled produce. Local Farmers usually do not like pesticides either, but some will use non-organic fertilizers. Best is to grow your own. You just need a few containers to grow some of your own food. Greens do well in containers.
WHAT DOES ORGANIC MEAN ANYWAY?
Is it really even worth spending so much money on SO CALLED ‘ORGANIC’ food…I mean does ‘organic’ mean the product you purchase is NOT GMO? What exactly does ‘organic’ mean?
Does it mean that the farmer hasn’t used ‘certain’ chemicals on the soil for a “certain” number of years on their soil?
Furthermore; no on seems to be concerned about the fact that the radiation for FOCKSHIMA IS spreading all over the U.S. so EVEN IF we truly care about our health and life in general; when we are buying organic we are still purchasing food that is radiating the hell out of us…and we are spending MORE for an ‘organic’ label????? … that may mean nothing!
I agree, how we spend our money is the the only real voting power we have.
On a realted subject, The Monsanto protection Act was blocked by the Senate from continuing into law!
If Washington State makes GMO labeling law, the rest of the nation will likely follow allowing us to make educated choices about our health and food chain. Something to look forward to
Does it even matter if our food is ‘organic’ now? does organic mean that it is not GMO??? Furthermore; if the entire US is being contaminated with fucashima radiation than, once again does organic really mean anything?
