Israeli Soldier and Palestinian Girl – A Tribute to Courage

This will make your heart explode. In the right way. Have a good cry and let it change and motivate you. These people have suffered enough. As have so many others.

But just look at their courage. Especially of this wonderful young lady who would just not have it. Listen closely to what she says as she tries to shield the youth behind her.

A fabulously powerful statement of the beauty of true humanity, even in the face of such cold-blooded horror. May we each stand strong and brave. – Zen

This powerful poem/song by Bob Dylan came to mind as I wept after seeing this video.

I dedicate it to this dear brave woman and all those like her, and the courageous oppressed around the world who hold their heads high in spite of the heartless reign of tyranny.

Chimes Of Freedom

Far between sundown’s finish an’ midnight’s broken toll
We ducked inside the doorway, thunder crashing
As majestic bells of bolts struck shadows in the sounds
Seeming to be the chimes of freedom flashing
Flashing for the warriors whose strength is not to fight
Flashing for the refugees on the unarmed road of flight
An’ for each an’ ev’ry underdog soldier in the night
An’ we gazed upon the chimes of freedom flashing.

In the city’s melted furnace, unexpectedly we watched
With faces hidden as the walls were tightening
As the echo of the wedding bells before the blowin’ rain
Dissolved into the bells of the lightning
Tolling for the rebel, tolling for the rake
Tolling for the luckless, the abandoned an’ forsaked
Tolling for the outcast, burnin’ constantly at stake
An’ we gazed upon the chimes of freedom flashing.

Through the mad mystic hammering of the wild ripping hail
The sky cracked it’s poems in naked wonder
That the clinging of the church bells blew far into the breeze
Leaving only bells of lightning and it’s thunder
Striking for the gentle, striking for the kind
Striking for the guardians and protectors of the mind
An’ the poet an the painter far behind his rightful time
An’ we gazed upon the chimes of freedom flashing.

In the wild cathedral evening the rain unraveled tales
For the disrobed faceless forms of no position
Tolling for the tongues with no place to bring their thoughts
All down in taken-for granted situations
Tolling for the deaf an’ blind, tolling for the mute
For the mistreated, mateless mother, the mistitled prostitute
For the misdemeanor outlaw, chased an’ cheated by pursuit
An’ we gazed upon the chimes of freedom flashing.

Even though a clouds’s white curtain in a far-off corner flashed
An’ the hypnotic splattered mist was slowly lifting
Electric light still struck like arrows, fired but for the ones
Condemned to drift or else be kept from drifting
Tolling for the searching ones, on their speechless, seeking trail
For the lonesome-hearted lovers with too personal a tale
An’ for each unharmful, gentle soul misplaced inside a jail
An’ we gazed upon the chimes of freedom flashing.

Starry-eyed an’ laughing as I recall when we were caught
Trapped by no track of hours for they hanged suspended
As we listened one last time an’ we watched with one last look
Spellbound an’ swallowed ’til the tolling ended
Tolling for the aching whose wounds cannot be nursed
For the countless confused, accused, misused, strung-out ones an’ worse
An’ for every hung-up person in the whole wide universe
An’ we gazed upon the chimes of freedom flashing.

If you’ve never heard the song, here it is. Springsteen skips a few of the stanzas above, but it’s a good version:

Much love,

  1. Very powerful may we all have this kind of courage when it is our turn to stand up for what is right. You know we will because of what we believe in.

  2. I watched that video last night before I went to bed. The bravery of the little girl is amazing. We have to do MUCH MORE. I’ve become silent because of the lack of response – but no more. I’ll start screaming again. As David Icke says – Get off your knees!

  3. Zen, a tribute to courage indeed. Heartbreaking to watch, though. Hopefully this will all be coming to an end soon.I believe it will.As for the song,I’ve heard it before, but this is the first time I’ve read all the lyrics. It’s astonishing what Dylan was capable of back in the day when he put pen to paper.Poetic genius.Loved Bruces cover.Chimes of freedom-they’re coming. Thanks for posting!

  4. On a post a few days ago , I asked on how others deal with the struggle of peaceful souls being tortured and destroyed. This is the one that wakes in my deep sleep and stains my consciousness.I BEG the forces that may be in this world for it to stop!

    • Peeks – it was on 12-13-2012. The Zen Way – A Brief Introduction- I posted a response the next day along with a few other people, if you didn’t see it. I know I was living in the past that day – I had to travel to the middle of Illinois to pick up my oldest(Known)child from college.

As Zen stated and I have figured out. It is the control of your own emotions and guarding yourself from other peoples emotions that helps to keep us sane. That is why people meditate a lot. I had to figure out how to overcome this without meditation(I did o way out their when I did meditate) – Having 4 boys with lots of energy can mean a non-stop atmosphere in my house and life.

Peace – and Party On – When Possible.

      • Jbaker .. sorry I dint catch your reply. Thank you fore your advice , and I agree with guarding myself, as much as that seams to be selfish in its own way .I have seen a lot about self preservation sometimes i feel like a 40 year old pickle from self persevering.

  5. Today I have been involved in a fb conversatio that has become an opportunity. A mother was complaining of how her sons teacher said the moon landing was a hoax and a bunch of people have commented about how the teacher is weird for having that opinion. I have bantered back and forth peacefully not winning any hearts but atleast my words were out there for some one. then I came across this video and it was perfect so I linked it. Lets hope some of the sleeple will take the 10 mins to watch it.
I love you guys for helping me have the courage to fight the tough fight. i couldnt have gotten here without all of you! Oh and heres the video- its great https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SipVykiE6mY&list=UUhh7XHTpiA8h4HC-zZQsQ6w&index=65

    • You Go Get em, Twelve along with Sand and the rest of us reading this!

Zen – What is the -on- for after each of our names in the comments section?

      • We always understood that it was posted on the date following it.

I don’t know why I am focused on it, but I am just drawn to it now for some reason and it doesn’t seem to fit. I know it is weird, it is almost like I am seeing it from a different dimension at this moment and I am compelled to draw attention to it.

        • I figured out it’s meaning later last night. My spirit guides were directing me towards something I need to get on with. I guess I was unconsciously writing a question to myself.

Asking my guides to help in anything always works. How fast I receive or need the help is dependent on the urgency.

It is time to stop reading so many posts and blogs and get on to what I am here to do! Enjoy – Peace and Love, JB!

  6. She is the Goddess returned. Watch the faces of the two soldiers. They know the patriarchal reign of the Dark is over, even the one who calls for instructions. We are free when we respond instead of react. We are free when we consciously decide to no longer be manipulated and then our strength to resist comes from the knowing that we have never been abandoned. This world of “free choice” has not existed for thousands of years, but in one action, no matter how small or great, we set ourselves and others free. Fear doesn’t even become an option. In responding as she did, this woman set the soldiers free. Love, A.

  7. It ALWAYS starts with the children (any race, creed, religion, etc), as they are so easily to manipulate, and over time can be taught to believe and “fight for” anything. Just look at the world’s history to see that and of course in the video above – these soldiers were not born soldiers, they were bred. As Einstein said, “The pioneers of a warless world are those that refuse military service”. And much love to the girl in the video above who, it appears, despite being fired upon, still tries to speak to the soldiers with rationale and love .

Another video linked here to an Israeli film maker, and he rightly notes that it could be anywhere and any group of children . . .

  8. I’m quick to remind myself that anything that I may “think” that I suffer pales comparison to the daily real life trauma that so many others must endure.

  9. Awesome, you guys are so inspired by this little girl. then you will all come out and say the truth the world must here and the best thing you can do to help this girl.

    whose’ with me?

or are ya gonna harp on the whole zionism isn’t Judiasm thing?
90,000 Rabbi’s get together in a stadium every year to read each and every word of the talmud.

A Jew should and must make a false oath when the Goyim asks if our books contain anything against them.
Szaaloth-Utszabot, The Book of Jore Dia 17

To communicate anything to a Goy about our religious relations would be equal to the killing of all Jews, for if the Goyim knew what we teach about them, they would kill us openly.
    Libbre David 37

When the Messiah comes every Jew will have 2800 slaves.
