Obama-Clinton: Ghost Riders Into The Night?

Holy crap. Just when things couldn’t get any worse. Now people are conjecturing the ultimate nightmare for US politics.
(BusinessInsider) My political prediction for 2012 (based on absolutely no inside information): Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden swap places. Biden becomes Secretary of State — a position he’s apparently coveted for years. And Hillary Clinton, Vice President.
So the Democratic ticket for 2012 is Obama-Clinton.
Why do I say this? Because Obama needs to stir the passions and enthusiasms of a Democratic base that’s been disillusioned with his cave-ins to regressive Republicans. Hillary Clinton on the ticket can do that.
Moreover, the economy won’t be in superb shape in the months leading up to Election Day. Clinton would help deflect attention from the bad economy and put it on foreign policy, where she and Obama have shined. source

“Stir the passions of his base.” Sounds healthy. Hey, why not pile on the crap so high it just breaks everybody’s backs? After all, we left reality a looooooong time ago.
Don’t know about you, but I’ve had it here. There’s no room for truth, honor or justice. We’ve been bumped off the planet, psychologically speaking. We might as well be idiots on a stick.
What To Do
Vote your ass off if that’s your proclivity. Campaign wildly around your neighborhood. Or bury yourself in a bunker with a year’s supply of food.
That or freak out and scream from the housetops. I don’t know.
It’s all virtually inconsequential in the grand scheme of things. We each need to be and do what we’re supposed to. This dystopian world is so whacked I don’t know what to think any longer. I know we need to keep talking and caring and loving and communicating the best we can, but it’s getting close to…hunker down, cuddle the kids, and prepare for the big wind.
There’s just too many indicators.

It seems insanity is rampant and, fascism has stopped creeping and is running like mad to the finish line.
“We each need to be and do what we’re supposed to.” – Yes, I think that’s it. Perhaps, we are measured by the commitment to our values and their orientation when the world as we know it is falling apart. Kind of like being in this world, but not of it. Or like the Buddhist monk who, upon falling off a cliff, grabs a strawberry and totally savors it while falling to apparent death. What a dance, eh?
And greater responsibility and opportunity comes from greater awareness and seeing what is, not what we’d like things to be. I experience this on the micro scale of my life’s interactions and figure that’s probably so on the macro level.

History has always been my example to follow and understand when it came to guiding the next generation to an understanding of humanitarian love and acceptance. Have we learned nothing? It appears so as we near 2012. Are we standing at the door of self destruction or will we face the opportunity to save ourselves?
We teach values and change generations to be better at humanity than we were? I want and practice that but I fear we, as human beings, have not reached that level of maturity yet.
