Martine you are very astute! Tolle is a zombie. The ego is not the problem, it is the false sense of the ego. I am certainly not letting my mind go. It’s part of me. I will simply put it in it’s place as best I can. Everything should work together, never mind attempting to separate everything. Tolle is just another zombie who gave up his sense of self – which is a gift of creation. He ran away from the problems of the world instead of facing them. His so called serenity is now his excuse to waffle on.

Maybe I just interpreted this post wrong ( French Canadian being my first tongue) cause it sure didn’t sat well with me. You are highlighting the power of and need for detachment? Wow. Okay. I thought the world had enough detachment already. See that’s why we are in this mess. I grew up in the spiritual movement and can personally attest to just how non powerful detachment actually is. Nothing happens. Nothing changes and the pedophiles you’re so fond of reporting on keep doing their deeds. Meanwhile the good of humanity are off meditating and chanting their way to peace. What a sham. I sent 15 years being destroyed by bipolar depression, and my biggest problem was I believed I was my mind. But I’m not. Through a progression of books last year I finally ended up reading The Power of Now two months ago – and I don’t mean to sound like a “true believer” but this book literally saved my life.
I’ve now had the two greatest months of my life. Now my mind can’t fool me anymore – it’s not in charge. I am. Now I’ve been using my mind like the high-powered tool it’s suppose to be instead of my mind turning me into some kind of tool.
When you can know yourself as the consciousness observing your mind while it thinks, your whole paradigm of what’s possible changes. And like I said – that literally saved my life.

By the way, I highly recommend the writings of Bronte Baxter at her blog Splinter in the Mind. She makes total sense and also is a former transcendental meditator. Here’s an excerpt from her writings on Tolle:
