a picture is worth a thousand words . Spot on.
This picture extracted out of me a response I haven’t felt or done in ages.
It made me laugh and cry at the same time.
The illustration pretty much sums it all up. The problem of course is most people assume they are still living and that America still offers or represents the image presented from the relatively recent past. Could this be anything but intentional? Thanks for posting this.
And they are not stopping with food and products as we well know. I am astounded as I read literature from the past. It’s beauty and the intelligence is so evident. Now, when I walk into Barnes and Noble, I have to practically shield myself from all the horrific artwork and images that abound in books, especially in the children’s and young adult section.
The detail in the “New America” portion of the picture is awesome
- has: Chemtrails, cell towers, overly obese people, and Wallmart! Like having a McDee combo (combination could not be more deadly).
Don’t forget the “all seeing eye” at the top on right!
I imagine if you’re old enough (like me) to remember the world on the left, this photo really hits you in the gut. Even the grayness of the light on the right is accurate and the sky really was this blue all the time back then. Never one to dwell in the past myself, this painting evokes a lot of emotion I’d rather not experience…. and this composition is very good because it forces you to do so anyway.
*…..right out of my mouth.
Do we know who the artist is? Kudos to the one who created this stark reminder of what once was and what is now so vividly. I weep.
